Raf Simons Presents the Spring 2019 Collection for CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC

The iconic Raf Simons, Chief Creative Officer at Calvin Klein Inc., presented the Spring 2019 CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC runway show on September 11th, 2018. The show took place at the headquarters, 205 West 39th Street, New York City, as seen in the collection name. The collection was inspired by two different films, Jaws and The Graduate, which both have themes of transgression, predator, and questioning authority—referencing rebellions seen in America. Raf also took inspiration from subjects such as tension, female and male, and youth and maturity. Graduation robes, tuxedo jackets, and diving suits were shown to reference evident cultural uniforms, all with their own stories. The crowd was filled with notable guests including the newest face of the house’s fragrance CALVIN KLEIN WOMEN, Saoirse Ronan, alongside Millie Bobby Brown, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Naomi Campbell, amongst many others.
