CHANEL unveiled its Spring-Summer 2022 Haute Couture collection at the Grand Palais Éphémère, with brand ambassador Charlotte Casiraghi opening the runway on horseback. For the first time ever, the Maison collaborated with a contemporary artist to create the runway’s scenography, appointing Frenchman Xavier Veilhan to transform the space, pulling elements from landscapes, gardens, and open theatre stages to envision an equestrian path.
The collection featured stunning eveningwear looks ranging from ethereal white ensembles to contrasting darker hues, with lace and feather detailing created by CHANEL’s esteemed embroidery ateliers. This effortless outing felt like designer Virginie Viard’s personal interpretation of the brand’s sartorial legacy, emphasizing graceful movement with airy silhouettes, tiered gowns, and iridescent tweeds.
