Enamoured by a poetic collage of CHANEL motifs—think bows, tweed, pearls, and florals—a nostalgic dreamscape unfolded beneath the glimmering roof of the Grand Palais. Playfully reimagining proportions, size, layering, and contrast, the collection deeply resonated with the House’s heart of femininity.
A star-studded front row captivated many onlookers, notably including Tyla, Dakota Fanning, Jessica Alba, Raye, and Camila Cabello. Among them was CHANEL brand ambassador Whitney Peak, an Ugandan-Canadian actress celebrated for her role in the Gossip Girl revival. As the muse of CHANEL’s iconic Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, Peak’s vibrant energy and spirit are electric, lingering long after our conversation, much like the perfume itself.
Chatting live from Paris following the Fall/Winter 2025/26 Ready-to-Wear Show, here are Whitney Peak’s first impressions of the collection.
CM: Tell me your thoughts on today’s collection?
WP: “I was honestly very surprised. The shows are always incredible, but it felt more playful this time, especially with the jewellery juxtaposing a classy, tasteful outfit with playful accessories. I also love how they played with size and different contrasting elements—it was incredible and so well done!”
Do you have any favourite looks or pieces from the show?
“The first thing that comes to mind is this mint short-knit ensemble. I just wanted to touch it and feel it. The model looked incredible; I don’t know if I could wear it as well as she did, but I’m excited to find out. Another piece that stood out to me were the pearls, the oversized accessories, and the bows.”

“I also want to see the overhead shot of this venue because I know it’s a bow, and I can’t wait to see how that looks.”
What do you love most about CHANEL?
“I was just telling a friend about this yesterday—honestly, the people. After working with the brand for so long, I feel like I’ve really gotten to know the people that make up the brand. It goes to show why the brand is so successful. Everyone involved is incredibly caring and generous. And, obviously, it’s CHANEL; what’s not to love?”
Do you have any essentials for Fashion Week?
“First of all, a sling-back shoe. You can never go wrong with comfort. Then would be purse spray, which also doubles as a piece of jewellery with a pearl strap for an easy twist and spitz. And, of course, a bag and coffee.”
Could you tell me what’s inside your mini CHANEL bag you’re carrying today?
“This is a special occasion bag. It’s really little; I can’t fit much in here. But we have a CHANEL lipstick, the perfume I mentioned, and the key to my hotel.”
