Here Are the Beauty Trends That Ruled Coachella 2025

Coachella, the most popular musical festival in North America just wrapped up its second weekend. Beyond the incredible performances and its ability to lure the biggest celebs in the world to attend, Coachella has built a reputation as being a playground for trying out new beauty looks. In turn, the desert festival has also become a sort of crystal ball, alerting us to new looks and trends that are gaining popularity. This year is no different.

Here, we round up some of the beauty trends that caught our attention at Coachella 2025.

Jellyfish Haircut

The Jellyfish haircut is one I can almost guarantee you didn’t see coming. And that’s because it’s a little bizarre. It’s characterized by three distinct, bluntly-cut layers. The first layer is bangs, that usually stop just above the brow, the second layer is cut right around the jawline, and the third layer finishes the look and maintains the length of the hair. It’s kind of like a bob, a lob, and long hair all wrapped up in one. Gaga’s been using the shaggy, layered style to usher in her Mayhem era. And it’s never looked better than on the Coachella stage this weekend.

Sparkly Eyes

Sparkles and Coachella go together like influencers and ring lights. That is to say, they’re pretty much inseparable. Both on and off stage—celebs and festival goers alike were spotted sporting sparkles on their bodies, clothes, and face. Across both weekends during her headline performances, Megan Thee Stallion changed her outfits and her hair multiple times. But one thing that remained consistent? Her shimmery cut crease eyeshadow. The ladies of Japanese girl group, XG, follow suit, choosing to pair their bright shadows with jewels and gems on their lids and faces.

Braids and Hair Accessories

I’ve personally always believed that hair is the most underrated part of any beauty look. And Coachella proves me right every year. Braids are always a popular style at the music festival, but this year we saw them implemented in a variety of ways—from cornrows, to face framing plaits, and braided buns. And throughout the two weekends, Victoria Monet, Marina, and Japanese Breakfast’s Michelle Zauner all sported stunning hair accessories during their big performances, which perfectly complemented their gorgeous outfits.

No Makeup (Makeup)

The biggest beauty trends take no days off and Coachella is no exception. Some of the festivals most frequent and popular attendees—Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and Hailey Bieber—were spotted wearing their signature no-makeup makeup looks, ditching the bold liners and shadows for light blush and neutral lips. Meanwhile other celebs like Renee Rapp, Cara Delevigne, and Niana Guerrero seemed to forgo makeup altogether letting their natural skin soak up the desert sun.
