Beauty products create a lot of plastic waste. Switching to refillables is a fairly effortless way to cut down on single-use products that might otherwise end up in landfill.

According to the British Beauty Council, 95% of cosmetic packaging thrown away. What’s more, only 9% of that waste is recycled. The rest heads directly to landfill. 

We all have the ability to make a difference. And as consumers, it’s important that we shop responsibly. While it’s not a perfect system—refillable products require significant manufacturing and of course, still have to be packaged themselves—they do help to reduce the amount of waste per product.
