Monochrome Luxury Meets Timeless Design With the INFINITI QX60 Black and White Edition

There’s a reason monochrome hues keep coming back into the spotlight, just as they did (again) at this year’s Golden Globes, as well as recent runways from Gucci, Chloé and others. Zoe Kravitz walked the red carpet at the awards show in a black velvet Saint Laurent gown tied around the waist by a white silk, while Margaret Qualley did the opposite: a black bow over white CHANEL. All of which is to say, black and white always looks good. It’s a timeless combination, and clearly INFINITI‘s designers got the memo.

For 2025, the Japanese luxury marque took the wraps off the new INFINITI QX60 Black Edition. The sleek SUV jumps onto the black and white trend, pulling it off with rare elan. (It’s not fair to call all of these recent monochrome looks a “trend” because the look is timeless, but you get the idea.)

The sculpted look of INFINITI‘s QX60 LUXE is enhanced by the new Black Edition trim package, which features a selection of tasteful design tweaks. Those include elegant gloss black 20-inch wheels, as well as matching gloss black roof rails, grille surround and exterior emblems. An illuminated INFINITI emblem front and centre in the grille elevates the look, adding a subtle hit of craftsmanship and luxury. The illuminated emblem is paired with similarly illuminated plaques that become visible as you open the doors.

As for paint colours, INFINITI‘s clients have choices. Although it’s called the QX60 Black Edition, clients can select from Mineral Black, Majestic White or new-for-2025 Harbor Gray paint. (If you ask us, there’s no question: the dazzling and rich Majestic White is the way to go. Under the sun, it gives an almost liquid sheen, while at night is stands out like a glowing beacon.)

Step inside and look up and you’ll find a soft, jet-black headliner. Not only does it complement the black wheels and roof rails, but it gives the whole cabin a more sophisticated ambiance. Graphite leather seating and silver metallic weave trim complete the cabin.

If, however, you’re looking for a wider range of customization, have a look at the range-topping QX60 AUTOGRAPH. It features eight different paint colours and two choices of leather interior. The saddle brown semi-aniline leather with black open-pore Ash wood option adds warmth and a tactile richness to the cabin. Two-tone paint, with the roof always in contrasting black, really sets off the confident lines of INFINITI‘s SUV.

“The QX60 SUV has a commanding presence that demands attention wherever it goes, but we’ve balanced with exquisite details that owners will appreciate,” said Head of INFINITI Design Taisuke Nakamura. Note the body’s crisp, modern lines and upright stance, as well as intricate details such as the origami-inspired mesh grille and ‘digital piano key’ lighting signature.

It should come as no surprise then that, since its recent introduction, the QX60 has proven to be a hit for INFINITI. Starting at just over the $60,000 mark, it offers luxurious space for up to seven people. (Opting for the second-row captain’s chairs grants passengers a first-class experience while reducing total seat-count down to six, which is a worthy trade off in our minds.)

QX60 has an unmistakable presence and drives us into a new era for design,” Nakamura added. He and his team designed it as a vehicle for people with busy lives, for people who value time spent with friends, family, community, as well as the ability to get things done. And now, thanks to the new Black Edition package, INFINITI‘s SUV will also fit effortlessly into any setting, be it pulling up to a runway show or a red carpet. Black and white will always look good.
