In the non-stop theatre of modern life, how you make an entrance matters. Thankfully, INFINITI’s new 2025 QX60 is here to help take the stress out of every journey so you can arrive at your best. The three-row SUV from the Japanese luxury brand takes a unique approach to the art of arrival, melding centuries of Japanese cultural traditions with modern technology and thoughtful, human-centric design.

“True to our QX60 MONOGRAPH design study, the INFINITI QX60 embraces the concept of ‘ma,'” explained Taisuke Nakamura, head designer at INFINITI. Loosely translated, ‘ma’ refers to the meaningful pause or the beauty of white space. It’s a concept that permeates Japanese aesthetics, and can be seen in the balance of black and white ink in calligraphy, or the silence between notes in music, and throughout the country’s modern, minimalist architecture.

On the QX60, this appreciation for intervals finds expression in how the QX60 creates a buffer between comings and goings. The vehicle was designed to be an oasis of calm, a place where occupants can feel relaxed and gather themselves on the way to whatever’s next. The vehicle’s acoustic glass and active noise cancellation carve out a peaceful space between for occupants, and so do INFINITI‘s “Zero Gravity” seats that are designed to help reduce fatigue on long drives.

You’ll also notice (or you might not, because it’s so effortless) that the climate control system remembers your preferences and the meticulously tuned suspension works to smooth every bump and rut in the road.
And then there’s the look and feel of the QX60. As its designer Nakamura explained, “The new QX60 embraces Japanese minimalism in its shape but balances that in its details. The interior and exterior reflect harmonies in their designs that play off each other.” For example, the mesh within the QX60‘s signature double-arched grille was inspired by the sharp folds of Japanese origami, while the car’s sheet metal body somehow appears to flow in waves that drape over the front and rear wheels.

While the QX60 draws from Japan’s rich cultural and aesthetic traditions, it also embraces cutting-edge tech in an effort to provide a relaxing journey. For 2025, all versions of the SUV now feature a new key fob design with ‘approach unlock’ and ‘walkaway locking’ functions. It works almost like magic, automatically unlocking or locking the door as you walk up to or away from the vehicle.

Other available convenience features that help de-stress the drive include INFINITI‘s Around View Monitor camera system, a camera-based smart rearview mirror, and a wireless phone charger (so you never have to worry about remembering the right dongle). The QX60 also features a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems, including: forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, lane departure warning, high beam assist and so much more.

What does all that do, exactly? In short, the car acts like your assistant, always watching your back. The optional ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link system takes that assistance to the next level, supporting the driver on single-lane highways, which makes for a less fatiguing driving experience.

And, last but not least, for 2025 the QX60 gets a new, more fuel-efficient engine. It uses devilishly clever Variable Compression Turbo (VC-Turbo) technology to deliver both improved performance—268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque—and better fuel economy. Less time spent at the gas station means more time for whatever you really want to do.

These things may all seem like details, but taken as a whole they add up to a uniquely serene driving experience. But, of course, INFINITI understands that driving isn’t really about the journey, but the destination. With its seamless blend of high-tech and tranquility, the QX60 has arguably perfected the art of arrival, ensuring you’re at your best when you reach whenever you’re going.
