Valentino Creative Director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, chose the famous Pont Alexandre III as the venue for his latest haute couture collection. While conceptualizing the collection, he filled his inspiration board with images of famous nightclubs such as Studio 54 and London’s New Romantic Blitz Club.
The collection’s 89 looks featured pops of pink ballgowns, tights, and coats, as well as lacey black lingerie-style dresses. In true haute couture fashion, there were oversized bows with floor-grazing capes, micro-minis, and even a red sequin trench. In men’s suiting, gemstone shades of green, blue, and yellow were finished off with metallic embroidery.
