You can always count on Alexandre Vauthier to stir up couture week with a hefty dose of glamour. On July 3rd, Vauthier’s Fall/Winter collection explored all things Parisian with retro french elegance and familiar architectural ’80s silhouettes. Held in the enchanting Musee des Arts Decoratifs, models stomped the runway in a private club-like setting to the latest Kanye and Kid Cudi release. Front row attendees included Christian Louboutin, a friend and previous collaborator to the brand, Ellen Von Unwerth, Olivia Palermo and French art director Julia Restoin Roitfeld, to name a few. Delivering an assortment of bedazzled crystal studded gowns, surprising pops of colour, tiger motifs, and black and white combinations, the show had it all. To top it off, looks were styled with vamper boat hats, bolero ties, and signature slouchy thigh high boots. The show came to a close with a fabulous feather minidress finale.
