Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer is expanding its partnership with spokeswoman and tennis superstar Naomi Osaka to include a limited edition Aquaracer Professional 300 model co-designed with the US Open champion. Osaka, who began working with the brand in January 2021, is ecstatic to be given the chance to utilize her fervour for product development with this unique opportunity. “It is an honour to be able to create a timepiece with such an iconic brand with a rich history in watchmaking,” she admits. “I’m grateful to TAG Heuer for allowing me to fuel my passion for fashion and product design.”
Continuing the legacy of Aquaracer Professional 300, the brand’s newest iteration features a light green lacquered dial filled with white superluminova® 8 VS diamonds. The choice selection of a verdant hue is a visual signifier of the tennis courts where Osaka’s athletic excellence shines brightly. Green is also used for the two complimentary bands, one in rubber, the other in a technical fibre manufactured from reclaimed fishing nets, an environmentally conscious innovation that speaks to Osaka’s values. The timepiece also comes in a black and green box emblazoned with the player’s emblem, a teddy bear holding a flower, as well as the TAG Heuer logo.
Only 250 timepieces were produced, and each is numbered accordingly to emphasize its distinct rarity.
