Maison Margiela Gathers Toronto’s Creative Set at Yorkdale

Maison Margiela hosted Toronto’s creative community for an intimate evening at the brand’s first standalone Canadian store at Yorkdale.

Among the guests in attendance were designers Golnar Ahmadian and Spencer Badu, alongside entrepreneur Sasha Exeter, creative consultant Vanessa Cesario, and artist and dancer Donte Colley, all celebrating the launch of Maison Margiela’s Spring/Summer 2026 Co-Ed collection.

The Yorkdale boutique, tucked within one of Toronto’s most established luxury shopping destinations, offers an experience true to the Maison’s identity—spare, deliberate, and quietly arresting. White walls, minimal fixtures, and the kind of considered stillness that asks you to slow down and look closer.

Sahar Nooraei, Editorial and Creative Director of S magazine, thanked guests with brief remarks on the evening, touching on the SS26 collection and the significance of the Yorkdale location for Toronto’s fashion community.

Guests moved through the space with ease, exploring pieces from the Spring/Summer 2026 Co-Ed collection—a season defined by tuxedo waistcoat cutlines, draped lapels, slip dresses layered over tailoring, and the Tabi Claw making its ready-to-wear debut. For many in attendance, it was a first encounter with the collection in person.

For a brand built on the philosophy that the clothes speak for themselves, the Yorkdale boutique offers Toronto a rare and permanent point of entry—no occasion required.
