Louis Vuitton’s SS24 Collection Is a Playful Spectacle of Colour and Retro Flair

Louis Vuitton‘s Spring-Summer 2024 show unfolded within the storied walls of 103 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, an iconic building that has been a symbol of Art Nouveau since the 19th century. However, this show was not just a celebration of fashion; it marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Louis Vuitton on this legendary Parisian thoroughfare.

For the third consecutive time, Louis Vuitton enlisted the talents of renowned production designer James Chinlund, who collaborated closely with the Spanish production agency, Penique, to create an unforgettable show experience. Penique is known for their ephemeral installations, and this time was no exception. They crafted an inflatable, balloon-like structure that grew and expanded to fill the space, casting it in a mesmerizing new light, texture, and monochrome hue.

The runway was graced with looks that featured graphic stripes and sophisticated motifs, creating a captivating juxtaposition. Nicolas Ghesquière experimented with layered volumes to craft airy silhouettes and tailored ensembles. Each outfit seemed to embrace a distinct facet of femininity, enhanced with belted adornments and rhinestone accessories, culminating in a nuanced audacious flair that truly set the collection apart.
