Kim Jones Makes Debut at Fendi With Spring 20121 Haute Couture

Kim Jones made his debut at Fendi today with a highly-anticipated Haute Couture Spring 2021 collection at Charleston Farmhouse, a 16th-century retreat near and dear to Jones’s heart. The collection’s inspiration came from feminist literary icons the Bloomsbury Group, as well as the love letters and relationship between Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West. Woolf’s Orlando was at the heart of the collection, which explored androgynous dressing. Jones designed by observing what the style of the people around him, evident in the fluidity of the silhouettes. The runway was packed with a star-studded cast of models, most of which happen to have a familial connection: Kate Moss and her daughter Lila Grace, Adwoa Aboah and sister Kesewa, Christy Turlington and her nephew James Turlington, and Silvia Venturini Fendi‘s two daughters, Delfina Delettrez Fendi and Leonetta Luciano Fendi. Powerhouse Naomi Campbell closed out the show in a stunning gown and cape, proving Jones’s debut was a total success.
