Last May, Chanel brought fashion’s most elite to Havana for a first look at its latest Cruise collection. The infectious, electric energy of Cuban culture was celebrated not only in the atmosphere and staging of the show, but in the collection itself. The vibrant colours sprinkled throughout the looks paid tribute to Havana’s multicoloured facades, while parrot-embroidered knitwear, Cadillac prints and Derby shoes echoed the country’s love and indisputable talent for dance and the performing arts.
