Dior Kicks Off Digital Couture Week With Its Surreal Autumn/Winter 2020-2021 Collection

Christian Dior stepped into the digital age with its exclusive Autumn-Winter 2020-2021 Haute Couture collection. The enchanting show was staged through a short film titled Le Mythe Dior, by Italian filmmaker Matteo Garrone. Lumenicient, surreal, and elegant, the film reinterpreted miniature doll-like creations into thirty-seven fascinating silhouettes that celebrate the work of female artists and muses Lee Miller, Dora Maar and Jacqueline Lamba. “Surrealist images manage to make visible what is in itself invisible. I’m interested in mystery and magic, which are also a way of exorcising uncertainty about the future,” shares Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri.
