Dior‘s Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri explored the history of rebellious femininity by focusing on three influential female figures: Catherine Dior, Édith Piaf, and Juliette Gréco. All three of these women subverted feminine stereotypes through their amazing work and art. This is showcased in the collection through rich dark colours like emerald and ruby, metallic fabrics and threads, and the Maison’s unique use of florals mixed with leather gloves and distinguished coats. Set against a colourful kaleidoscope art installation by Joana Vasconcelos, the collection also featured classic silhouettes and business wear that paid homage to the rise of women entering the workforce in the post-war era.
