The Grand Palais has been the epicenter of CHANEL fashion shows for many years, but with it closed for renovations, Creative Director Virginie Viard needed to take the atmosphere elsewhere for the brand’s Fall/Winter 2021 collection. Wanting a more intimate setting, Viard decided on Castel, a smaller venue that created a unique contrast with the ornate winterwear on display. The collection featured an alluring range of chalet chic and Parisian aesthetics, pairing a ski suit with sandals, a floor-length tweed jacket with bare legs, and delicate dresses with faux fur boots. Ten CHANEL ambassadors including Margaret Qualley, Soo Joo Park, and Caroline de Maigret were invited to view the accompanying Fall/Winter 2021 film, while also being photographed beforehand by Inez & Vinoodh.
