Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta has opened its doors in Vancouver at Holt Renfrew, marking the first directly operated boutique in all of Canada. Spanning 765-square-feet the expansive space features tradition Italian design elements but with a modern twist. For the first time in Vancouver, this new store concept offers the city an immersive experience with the ability to discover the brand.

Occupying space on the luxury floor, the boutique includes a carefully curated selection of products within the Women’s Bags, Small Leather Goods, Belts, Ready-to-Wear, Jewellery, Sunglasses, and Fragrance categories. The newest additions being the Women’s Ready-to-Wear and Fragrance categories that are available to the city for the first time.

The conscious effort to tie the design of the store back to Bottega Veneta’s Venetian roots is evident through a variety of design elements. A traditional Italian tiling technique called terrazzo, typically seen in Venetian homes brings a sense of heritage to the modern space, beautifully marrying tradition with modernity. The display units in the store and a direct reference to Villa Necchi in Milan which was designed by Piero Portaluppi. The material used for these display units is the highly coveted Italian walnut wood. Defined by its deep coloruing and intricate veins and juxtaposed with bright natural lighting and curved walls, the space is an open and inviting environment.  

This store opening marks a major milestone for Bottega Veneta expanding their presence across Canada and offering a exquisite space for the city of Vancouver to discover and shop the Italian brand.
