Miranda Kerr has been a fan of noni since she was 13 years old. The tropical, vitamin-rich fruit is a favourite in her native Australia, used in elixirs for everything from detoxing to anti-aging. It seems fitting, then, that the supermodel would make it the star ingredient in her line of luxury skincare products.

Kerr founded KORA Organics back in 2009, when the clean beauty movement was still in its infancy. And sure, supermodels and skincare go together like, well…models and anything, but beneath Kerr’s enviably rosy complexion, there’s a deeply rooted connection to all things natural. “I have been passionate about health and nutrition since a young age,” she tells us. “My parents and grandparents played a big part in my life taking that direction.” Growing up in a holistic-minded family in rural Gunnedah, New South Wales, Kerr would learn all about natural remedies. After high school, she’d go on to study nutrition before becoming a household name as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, and later certify as a health coach. “Education and personal experience were the key factors initially in me self-funding and developing KORA,” she says. “As soon as I became aware and educated about the unnecessary and harmful chemicals contained in the majority of skincare products, I searched for a healthier alternative for my own use, but I was unable to find anything that really worked, so I decided to create my own range.”

And thus began KORA Organics, a line based on the ethos of mind, body, and spirit all coming together to have an effect on your skin. “I believe the health of our skin is connected, so we need to look at all three aspects for best results,” she says. “Our brand philosophy is to feed your mind with positive affirmations and self-love; feed your body with the nutrients it needs to function at its best, and feed your skin with products to help detoxify, nourish, and revitalize.”

To that end, KORA’s range features products that cover every point on the spectrum. Its hero product, the Noni Glow Face Oil, is a nourishing treatment with high levels of antioxidants, essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals to smooth, nourish, and brighten the skin. The golden liquid promises reparative anti-ageing results, and is Kerr’s favourite product in the range. She swears by applying it each morning and night. “So does my husband! He loves it too,” she says. The 2-in-1 Turmeric Mask is another of Kerr’s favourites, and acts as both a physical exfoliator and a revitalizing mask. “I essentially wanted a product that delivered a post-spa facial glow that can be done at home or when travelling, in one simple step and in under 10 minutes,” she says. The mask contains natural AHAs from papaya enzymes and aspen bark to stimulate cell renewal, as well as rosehip seeds and quartz to polish, and peppermint to control sebum production and for an invigorating tingle.

All of KORA’s products are energized by rose quartz, which the brand also offers in a heart-shaped facial sculptor that detoxifies and de-puffs.

As KORA forges into its second decade, Kerr’s as passionate as she was when she launched the brand. “Knowing that our products are helping our customers achieve healthy, radiant skin and, in doing so, elevating their confidence, is incredibly humbling,” she says. “Being at the forefront of the global clean beauty movement is an achievement I’m very proud of. My dream is for KORA Organics to become a household name, and for people to choose a healthier and safer alternative both for themselves and for the environment.”
