Kicking off the Toronto International Film Festival’s opening weekend, CHANEL‘s 3rd annual Female Filmmaker Dinner hosted in partnership with Variety, brought the season’s stars out to Soho House. To honour the fashion house’s close connection to film, the special event gathered a select group of TIFF stars like Leslie Mann, Michelle Monaghan and Lyric Ross, as well as industry leaders and directors including Judd Apatow, Darren Aronofsky and Tyler Perry, who fêted alongside CHANEL ambassadors Tilda Swinton and Margaret Qualley.
The event began by toasting the CHANEL Women Writers’ Network, a renowned alumnae program of the TIFF’s Share Her Journey’s annual TIFF Writers’ Studio. The network reflects CHANEL’s commitment to support women in the arts, and to its continued dedication to establishing opportunities within for them to thrive. As such, the House was honoured to host 2022 participants of the program including Abbesi Akhamie, Maggie Briggs, Yasmine Mathurin, and Mayumi Yoshida.
Guests of the night mingled on the private club’s rooftop before sitting down to dinner in the private room together with 100 of the industry’s brightest stars.
