Photographer Jocelyn Reynolds Documents Elder 2SLGBTQIA+ Stories in Her Latest Project

Toronto-based photographer Jocelyn Reynolds chronicles the stories of elder 2SLGBTQIA+ people in her collection titled Return, Seek, Carry, a partnership with Buddies in Bad TimesPride in Place series. This collaboration marks a celebration of queer art, enabling the community to share their stories with a larger audience and reveal the intricate struggles they have been endured until the present day. Reynolds uses her organic and intimate style of portraiture to preserve the stories of the elders and to highlight the important cultural, social, and political change that was fostered as a result of these brave individuals. Reynolds aims to bridge the generational gap within the queer community, allowing for a conversation to take place between elders and youth in order to establish a communal spirit that reflects the true values of Pride.
