A Look Inside the Rolex-Designed Oscars Greenroom

With the brand’s strong connections to the film industry and its presence in award-winning movies, it comes as no surprise that Rolex has a strong longstanding partnership with the Academy. This collaboration continued this past Sunday with Rolex in charge of designing and hosting the 96th Oscars Greenroom, a space where presenters and nominees gather before and after their time on stage. The design of the space for 2024 literally embraced the term ‘greenroom,’ showcasing not only the iconic Rolex colour but also drawing inspiration from nature. The space details mirror elements found in nature, incorporating sustainably sourced materials, organic structures, and chlorophyll while also highlighting watch-specific features like brushed metal surfaces and the fluting on watch bezels. On display in the Greenroom was the instantly recognizable Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40 in 18 ct Everose gold. Much like timeless films, Rolex and the Day-Date have secured their position in history, fitting for momentous occasions, like the Academy Awards.
