For Creative Director Nadège Vanhée, the Hermes Spring-Summer 2027 show captures the height of summer: that moment when a refreshing breeze cuts through the heat, bringing quick relief and opening the mind to new ideas.
This inspiration comes from France’s heatwave this past summer and offers a commitment to functional pieces that can withstand this sticky environment while remaining light. For a house synonymous with leather, achieving that balance is no small feat.

Set within the brand’s familiar Fashion Week stomping ground, Garde Républicaine, the collection embraced pieces that were equally wearable, breathable, and airy, while staying true to the brand’s equestrian heritage.
Fabrics like silk subtly showcase the body, while metallic zippers on modular pieces enable airflow with a quick unzip. This element of manipulation appears across dresses that can be unzipped to reveal a skirt or a midi-length silhouette, and trousers that can be reconfigured.
This pursuit of breathability also shows up in the smallest details, such as leather perforations and cutouts; meanwhile, denim, suede, and paper-thin calfskin are reworked for airiness across tailored coats and dresses. A particular favourite was a series of stacked leather cuffs worn like bracelets, adding dimension and edge against a bright, colourful collection of outfits in oranges and reds.
