The Nissan Murano Platinum is Your Ideal Getaway Companion

NISSAN x S

Sometimes, wellbeing simply means escape. It means hitting pause and taking a break. It could be a long weekend at a resort-spa, or a 24-hour micro-getaway of hiking through a nearby national park. Even a short, impromptu escape like that can be a much-needed counterbalance to our overstimulated lives.

Enter the completely reimagined 2025 Nissan Murano Platinum, a vehicle that transcends traditional automotive design to become something more akin to a mobile sanctuary. This fourth-generation evolution has been crafted with an eye toward aesthetic harmony and sensory balance. Spend some time in the Platinum model’s top-of-the-line cabin and you’ll see it’s not hyperbole to say the 2025 Murano’s warm hues and quiet comfort are giving day-spa.

In fact, Nissan’s design team drew inspiration for the Murano’s redesigned cabin from the colours of golden hour—the moment just before sunset when light takes on an ethereal quality. Available massaging and ventilated Zero Gravity seats, as well as the cabin’s elegant ambient lighting system, work together to really deliver on that day-spa vibe. Of the Murano’s three interior colourways on offer, the standout for us is the pairing of soft dove grey with rich caramel accents. The available semi-aniline leather seats feature artisanal quilting patterns reminiscent of haute couture.

Such calming design and material choices will help ensure your escape starts with the journey, long before you arrive at your destination.

Consider a weekend retreat to Prince Edward County, where vineyards and artisanal shops dot the landscape of one of Ontario’s most Instagram-worthy destinations. As you leave Toronto’s concrete jungle behind, the Murano’s Active Sound Cancellation technology creates a cocoon of tranquility. The system works just like your favourite noise-cancelling earbuds, allowing conversations to flow effortlessly or providing an ideal acoustic environment for the optional 10-speaker Bose audio system.

When it comes to navigating the County’s charming but occasionally confusing network of rural roads, the Murano’s available Built-in Google Maps app proves invaluable, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity ensure your curated playlists can come along for the journey too.

For those seeking a more immersive escape, the journey to Tofino on Vancouver Island’s wild western edge offers the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. The Wickaninnish Inn—a member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux collection, and one of the Island’s top boutique hotels—sits dramatically between ancient rainforests and the Pacific’s rocky windswept shoreline.

The 2.5-hour drive across the island from Nanaimo to the Wickaninnish is breathtaking, but the coastal terrain can occasionally be challenging. It’s nothing the Murano’s intelligent all-wheel drive system can’t handle though.

If you’re in the Montreal area, Mont-Tremblant National Park is a two-hour drive north of the city. With over 400 lakes and six rivers within its boundaries, Mont-Tremblant is much more than just a ski resort. Whether you’re hiking an easy trail like La Corniche, or trying rock climbing at the Via Ferrata—literally ‘Iron Path’ or ‘Iron Road’—you’ll find no shortage of ways to enjoy nature.

No matter where you go or what you choose to do once you arrive, the thoughtfully crafted interior of the new Murano will make getting there feel like part of the escape.

In a world where time is surely our most precious commodity, the all-new Murano’s thoughtful fusion of design, curated luxuries and helpful technology create space for connection—with both your surroundings and your companions—long before you reach your destination.
