Louis Vuitton has announced the latest expansion of its Fashion Eye series with two photography books at the Rencontres de la Photographie festival in Arles, France. The book series embarks upon a journey to popular travel destinations across the globe, uncovering the complex hidden realities of each locale.

Fashion Eye Italian Rivieras by Slim Aarons

The latest release continues the international tour by stopping in the Italian Rivieras and Tahiti, revealing unique perspectives on daily life for the reader to explore. In the first book, Fashion Eye Italian Rivieras, American photographer Slim Aarons unveils the flamboyant glamour of the Italian coast from the 1960s to 1980s, illuminating the carefree spirit and the dolce vita energy of the luxurious locale. French photographer Jonathan LLense aims to challenge the notion of idyllic life in Fashion Eye Tahiti, going beyond postcards and stereotypical vacation imagery to uncompromisingly reveal the artificial paradise constructed off the beaten path. To commemorate the expansion of the Fashion Eye series, Louis Vuitton has commissioned various pop-up bookstores to host signings with photographers in Lisbon, Madrid, and Berlin this summer.
