Editor’s Passport: Top Parisian Haunts

To kick off Haute Couture fashion week in Paris, S/ magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Sahar Nooraei reveals some of her favourite places to shop, eat, refresh, and get inspiration.

HONOR CAFE

Rain or shine, this stylish outdoor-indoor coffee shop is the perfect spot for a caffeine boost and a light snack in between shows.

GALERIE THADDAEUS ROPAC

With locations in London, Salzburg, and Paris, Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac is one of the most exciting international art galleries exhibiting contemporary art. I always look forward to visiting its Marais location while I am in town, and can’t wait to check out the Irving Penn exhibition they have on view right now.

MUSÉE RODIN

Sometimes you just need to walk it out, and what better place than Musée Rodin’s sculpture garden where you can get lost looking at the foliage and thought-provoking sculptures. After your stroll, be sure to check out the amazing collection of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and more inside the museum.

CHAMBRE NOIRE

If you’re looking for an impressive selection of organic wine and overall great ambiance, a visit to Chambre Noire is a must.

CITRON CAFE

Located inside La Galerie Lafayette Champs Elysées, fashion darling Jacquemus‘s delicious Citron Cafe is a welcome reprieve from the hectic Champs-Élysées.

NANASHI

Nanashi offers fuss-free, fresh, and expertly prepared Japanese fair that you’ll crave even when you’re not in Paris.

EN VOITURE SIMON

Round out your wardrobe with pristine designer gems from days gone by at En Voiture Simone, or stop by to get style inspiration.

LEMAIRE

Treat yourself to an inspiring shopping experience at Lemaire’s flagship in Marais for quality closet keepsakes designed with heart.

OGATA PARIS

I saw a fellow Instagram follower go to the newly opened Ogata and it looked intriguing enough for me to make a reservation. The new addition to the Marais is super close to Lemaire, and described as housing a restaurant, sabō (Japanese tea salon), bar, and boutiques.

YASMINE ESLAMI

One of my favourite lingerie brands from Paris. Yasmine Eslami creates feminine, luxurious underpinnings that feel modern and edgy. I also love her use of colour!

LA MAISON DR. HAUSCHKA

Not only are Dr. Hauschka’s products well revered in the natural skincare world, the treatments offered at their Paris spa are a perfect way to unwind after a busy week of shows and meetings, and perhaps before your flight back home.

WILD & THE MOON

Fresh, organic, and guilt-free. When you’re in need of a boost of energy or a healthy meal, head to Wild & The Moon. My favourite item to order is the kid smoothie.

LA BUVETTE

Somewhat of a hidden gem, La Buvette is a tiny natural wine bar that also offers great food (and very few seats!) I always have a great time here and leave with a full heart.
