When Music Meets Fashion: Notable Looks From the 68th Annual Grammy Awards

Music’s biggest night took place yesterday evening—the 68th Annual Grammy Awards—bringing together the world’s top artists to celebrate the best recordings and compositions of the year in Los Angeles. The night featured historic moments, like Bad Bunny becoming the first Latin artist to win Album of the Year and Kendrick Lamar taking home the most awards of the evening (five, to be exact), surpassing Jay-Z in becoming the most awarded artist in the rap category in Grammy history.

Other winners included Billie Eilish, Olivia Dean, Kehlani, and Bad Bunny—all of whom delivered powerful acceptance speeches centred on unity, community, and love. Outside of the award ceremony, the red carpet became a stage of its own. One where fashion spoke just as loudly, taking the spotlight in a series of standout looks. Here are some of our favourites.

Eilish supported young and emerging designer HODAKOVA, wearing a custom look in which the jacket and skirt were both reconstructed from deadstock navy wool trousers, while the belt was crafted from upcycled deadstock materials.

Dean wore a custom-embroidered black-and-white gown layered with a double-satin skirt featuring feathered silk and organza petals at the belt. In contrast, her performance radiated a different vibe as she donned a red sequined minidress, embroidered with camellia flowers and feathers.

Wrapped in a full-feather ensemble, Lady Gaga showcased a dramatic, raven-like look. Known for her standout pieces, this outfit was particularly striking, especially with its voluminous long train.

Aside from making history as the first K-pop soloist to be nominated in two of the event’s major categories, Rosé also stunned the red carpet. Her look wasn’t your typical take on a little black dress; instead, it featured cream balloon-draped extensions, billowing at the sides, by Giambattista Valli Couture.
