The Met Honours the Countess of Couture

Countess Jacqueline de Ribes, one of the most celebrated fashion icons of the 20th century, is the focus of the Costume Institute’s seasonal exhibition. Showcasing 60 stunning wardrobe ensembles from de Ribes’ personal archive, the exhibit explores her life and how she cultivated her sense of style. It is this journey that the exhibit’s curator, Harold Koda, describes as a type of performance art in itself.
