Jewellery can help tell a story about the person wearing it. For Shara Zaman, styling with well-crafted accessories is her way of expressing herself and where she came from. “Watching my mother prepare and adorn herself with her favourite pieces had a profound influence on me, shaping my appreciation for the art of jewellery,” said Zaman.
The personal aspect of jewellery is the reason the content creator has a strong connection to Tiffany & Co. Four years into her relationship with her partner, he gave her a Tiffany T Ring as a promise ring. Now in their 10th year together, the ring symbolizes both the significance of that moment and the longevity of their partnership. Much like the investment in their relationship, she sees Tiffany & Co. pieces as a long-term addition.
“In the realm of fine jewellery, Tiffany & Co. stands apart as more than just an accessory—it represents a lasting investment that endures for generations,” said Zaman
Tiffany & Co.’s story is on display at its newly redone flagship in Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Luxurious modernity meets swanky 1920s art deco at this elevated storefront, honoring the history of Tiffany & Co., as well as its bright future. For Zaman, the reworked space creates an experience that allows shoppers to “engage with the jewellery in a fresh and meaningful way.”
“It’s truly stunning,” said Zaman. “The store presents a refined, immersive approach to luxury shopping, with an open, airy atmosphere that invites exploration.”
It marries the unique styles of both New York City and Toronto. The flagship and the jewellery on display pay homage to the art of the Big Apple, while the art and decor represents Toronto’s unique sartorial flavour. For Zaman, her connection to Toronto is evident in her chic appearance.
“I absolutely connect my style to living in Toronto, where the laid-back atmosphere and fearless self-expression encourage people to take risks and showcase their individuality,” she said. “The city’s unique blend of culture, diversity, and creativity constantly inspires me.”
Zaman is drawn to statement pieces, preferring her jewellery to take center stage when styling an outfit—she enjoys “experimenting with different textures, colours, and metals to create unique, personalized looks.”
She favours the diamond-encrusted Large Link Bracelet in the Tiffany HardWear collection, as well as the Extra Large Link Earrings. Within the Tiffany Lock collection, she reaches for The Rose and White Gold Bangle and the Ring with Pavé Diamonds.
“For a sleek, polished vibe, I often pull my hair back into a smooth ponytail or bun, which draws attention to the pieces,” said Zaman. “Paired with an all-black outfit and pointed-toe heels, it creates a chic and effortless ensemble.”
Zaman can’t leave the house without adding an eye-catching piece to add sophistication to her appearance. It’s no wonder that she holds such reverence for these designs—in her childhood home, jewellery was sacred.
“My love for jewellery began at a very young age, growing up in a Southeast Asian household where jewellery held not just aesthetic value, but deep cultural, religious, and spiritual significance,” said Zaman. “I feel incomplete without [it]. “It’s a source of confidence and elegance and a powerful form of self-expression.”
