On September 29th, Hermès opened its new flagship store at 706 Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side. The 20,250 square-foot Maison unites New York dynamism and Parisian elegance, while portraying the creative spirit of the house through Hermès’ 16 métiers spread across four floors, including a rooftop garden. Designed by the architecture agency RDAI, led by Denis Montel, 706 Madison is the fusion of three existing buildings, and is inspired by New York’s Art Deco past and the earliest Manhattan skyscrapers. The store has been designed as a welcoming epicenter of community and a spacious creative destination to have a Parisian experience on the Upper East Side.

To celebrate the opening of the new 706 Madison Flagship, Hermès took over parts of Madison Avenue, surprising guests with an original musical production entitled Love Around the Block. The production played out in various locations around the block as guests enjoyed dinner and ended the night with an after party at the old Hermès Maison across the street from 706 Madison.
