S/ Was There: CHANEL Cruise 2021/2022 in Dubai

As nightfall descended over the ultra-luxe Dubai Creek Harbour district, with its glistening highrises and palm tree-lined promenade, a very special CHANEL Cruise 2022 presentation was showcased to a glamorous selection of guests. Having been first displayed within the confines of the Carrières de Lumières back in May, this graphic outing from Virginie Viard paid tribute to counterculture aesthetics, as well as noted French poet Jean Cocteau. Referencing its memorable inaugural display, the team at CHANEL cloaked the venue with beige fabrics that had shadows and olive branches projected onto their surfaces, injecting an en plein air essence of the South of France into the Arabian Peninsula.

The show featured guest appearances from CHANEL ambassadors Penelope Cruz, Caroline de Maigret, Soo Joo Park, Sofia Boutella, and singer Faouzia, who later joined John Legend during his intimate set at the official after party. Guests enjoyed the high spirited atmosphere while sipping on cocktails and reveled in the DJ stylings of Park, Kungs, and DJ Wladimir Schall at the stylish soiree.
