Luxury fashion stalwart Louis Vuitton is expanding its repertoire of distinguished brand ambassadors with the inclusion of tennis maven Naomi Osaka. Speaking about her latest post, Osaka reveals that “Aside from tennis, my most treasured passion is fashion; and there is no brand more iconic than Louis Vuitton.”
This powerful pairing will debut in a Spring-Summer 2021 fashion campaign lensed by Artistic Director of Women’s Collections Nicolas Ghesquière. “It is such an honor to work with Nicolas—he’s a designer I admire so much and we share a mutual love of Japanese culture and style. To become global brand ambassador is truly a dream come true for me” Osaka reveals.
Ghesquière echoes Osaka’s excitement by adding “Naomi is an exceptional woman who represents her generation and is also a role model for everyone. Her career and convictions are inspiring. I am in awe of Naomi, she stays true to herself and doesn’t compromise on her values.”
Osaka now joins the ranks of Emma Stone, Alicia Vikander, and Léa Seydoux in the accomplished ranks of Vuitton’s ambassadorship.
