Louis Vuitton unveiled its latest collection at the Musée du Louvre, once the summer residence of Anne of Austria, Queen of France. The space transformed into a contemporary apartment by scenographer and designer Marie-Anne Derville, featuring furniture from various eras that showcased French taste from the 18th century to the present. The Spring/Summer 2026 collection explored the art of “indoor” dressing and included exaggerated collars and ruffles to bold layering and silhouettes, and most notably, new accessories.
The bag selection incorporated patchwork accents, oversized knits, and cheeky shapes like a belted scarf that doubles as a card holder. The collection was showcased to the sounds of Cate Blanchett reciting lyrics from David Byrne’s “This Must Be the Place”, which was composed by Tanguy Destable for the show. From the sounds to the space, and the clothing, the entire collection tells a seamless story of self-expression.
