Explore the Modern Sophistication of Fendi’s Fall/Winter 2024 Collection

Set against a backdrop of dramatic silk curtains, Creative Director Kim Jones intertwines a narrative of theatricality and elegance for Fendi‘s Fall/Winter 2024. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant subcultures of 1984 London and the timeless elegance of Roman style, Jones blends British nonchalance with Roman freedom, resulting in a bold and refined collection.

“I was looking at 1984 in the Fendi archives,” says Kim Jones, Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear. “The sketches reminded me of London during that period: the Blitz Kids, the New Romantics, the adoption of workwear, aristocratic style, Japanese style. It was a point when British subcultures and styles became global and absorbed global influences. Yet still with a British elegance in ease and not giving a damn what anybody else thinks, something that chimes with Roman style. FENDI has a background in utility.”

This season’s offerings defy expectations, focusing on essential pieces — midi coats, knitted dresses, and leather — challenging minimalist trends with impeccable wardrobe construction. Jones infuses a self-sufficient flair, inspired by Fendi’s rich heritage of colour experimentation. This is showcased through inventive colour-blocking and playful personalization.

In the world of Fendi, there is not just one woman, but many, each empowered to make a bold statement and express themselves with confidence and style.
