Dior Cruise 2025 Explores Gothic Romance in Scotland

Maria Grazia Chiuri took to the Scottish Countryside to present her vision for Dior’s Cruise 2025 Collection. The Drummond Castle Gardens in Perthshire, Scotland served as the perfect backdrop for the medieval-inspired and subtly gothic styles presented through layers of tartans, tulle, and leather. Chiuri took this collection as a chance to modernize medieval silhouettes through the juxtaposition of texture and a refreshed interpretation of structured skirts and harnesses.

The inclusion of tapestries and tartan in deep purple hues gave the collection a gothic-punk flare while staying true to the classic Dior codes of sculptural skirts and gowns. Armour and chainmail were reimagined in sheer garments with pearled detailing and hoods adorned with zippers. Models were styled under many layers which highlighted medieval puffed sleeves, modern corsets, and leather accessories that incorporated silver hardware.
