Revisiting the memories, emblems, and motifs throughout Dior‘s history, the Autumn-Winter 2025-2026 collection takes a step back in time. It demonstrates that, much like fine art, clothing embodies the cultural, aesthetic, and social codes of its era. It highlights that clothing evolves to reflect its environment, acting as a vessel for recording history—a true mirror into time.

“Each collection is a construction, a project steeped in fantasy. An awareness. An invitation to use fashion to express yourself,” reads the show notes. For this rendition, Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri aimed to display change as depicted in Virginia Woolf’s novel Orlando. This vision explores identity, time, and gender fluidity through a modern lens. It nurtures fashion to embody personal transformation and question boundaries.

As Dior embarked on a journey down memory lane (or down the catwalk), the Galliano era made a comeback with classic J’adore Dior tees now adorned with edgy, textured lace. Throughout the showcase, colour purposely marks the onset of a new metamorphic chapter. Scenes of prehistoric birds, rocks, craters, and the emergence of an iceberg unfold the ever-evolving world through a transition in colour from dark to light garments. These sequences reflect the passage of time, demonstrating how it seamlessly evolves to shape both identity and the environment.
