With its stainless steel case and time-only dial, the 31mm version of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual is less flashy than siblings like the Day-Date, which is only available in precious metals, or the Date just, with its iconic fluted bezel and Cyclops date window. Still, despite its comparatively low-key looks, the Oyster Perpetual 31—OP 31 to its many fans—remains a quintessential Rolex in every way, from its classic three-link Oyster bracelet to its highly accurate Swiss-made movement. What really sets the OP 31 apart, however, is an ever-changing selection of covetable dials that, as of this year, include pastel shades of beige, lavender, and pistachio.
Following highly sought releases like 2020’s “Tiffany” blue and 2023’s “Celebration” dial filled with multicoloured balloons, Rolex has managed to raise the bar once again by taking the OP 31 in a more muted—but no less chic—direction for 2025. Thanks to its sleek, minimalist design, these pastel hues make the OP 31 more versatile than ever, and the perfect complement to this season’s palette of mocha browns, stone greys, and butter yellows. They also uphold the model’s reputation as the most fun-loving member of the Rolex family.
