Sometimes the most eye-catching designs are also the most simplistic. With its repetitive geometry and cubed rows of Asscher cut diamonds, Chopard’s Ice Cube motif has been a staple of refined style since the late 1990s.
Now, the brand is adding to its Ice Cube offerings, with styles fit for a modern wearer. Chopard released a capsule haute joaillerie collection in 2024, and now, it’s rolling out another high jewellery reinterpretation of the iconic design.

The new pieces play with texture and shape while maintaining the uniformity that makes the Ice Cube motif timeless.
“With such a clear and intentional design, the Ice Cube collection has naturally evolved over the years—and most recently, we’ve taken it to another dimension: that of sparkling High Jewellery,” said Caroline Scheufele, co-president and artistic director of Chopard.
“In recent years we have enriched the collection with creations in ethical white, yellow, and rose gold that can be stacked together and mixed in multiple ways.”
In this striking reimagining, the cubes vary in height, creating depth and visual interest. The collection’s bracelets and brooch evoke the gleaming towers of a city skyline. These designs highlight the savoir faire of the house’s Swiss artisans, as polishing uneven surfaces is a skill mastered by very few.

“As surprising as it may seem, nothing is simple with a cube,” Scheufele said. “You have to understand that our cubes have a very polished surface and at the same time, the facets have to remain very sharp. It’s a technique that requires very specific tools, a keen eye, and dexterity, because it’s easy to lose the sharpness, and the design then may be ruined.”
In addition to the bracelets and brooch, the collection features a multi-banded ring with a show-stopping 3-carat Asscher-cut diamond placed diagonally across two bands lined with sparkling diamond brilliants. Earrings with 1.2-carat Asscher-cut diamond solitaires are backed by a fluid line of diamond-set cubes, which can be removed for style variations.
A one-of-a-kind statement necklace features cascading rows of cubes, made from a mix of rose and white gold, gently hug along the neckline to create an elongated appearance. The modular design allows the wearer to remove sets of these cubed rows to meet any occasion. The varying cube sizes create a break in the uniformity to capture a sense of movement.
Scheufele says Ice Cube designs are popular with both men and women, allowing anyone with bold style to adorn themselves with them.
“It is not designed for a specific age or gender, but for strong personalities,” she said.
Each item from the collection can be worn with pride—not just for its elegant appearance, but for its sustainable manufacturing. The designs are crafted from 18K ethical gold—smelted in-house by the brand—following the standard set for all of Chopard’s jewellery since 2018.
With superstar Bella Hadid as the face of its haute joaillerie campaign, the brand is making its prowess in the world of jewellery known.
