CHANEL opted for fun in the sun, showcasing their Cruise 2023/2024 collection in Los Angeles. Inspired by a culmination of past decades including the glamour of the ’20s and the colourful style of the ’80s, CHANEL‘s Cruise 2023/2024 collection fuses California cool with the Maison’s timeless codes. The show explored the intersection of film and fashion, inviting viewers to enter the spotlight and never leave. The collection is packed with signature house colours balanced by bold tones, pastel shades, and a bevy of sparkles. Although pink is a mainstay throughout the collection (a favourite colour of Artistic Director Virginie Viard’s,) gold also came into play, signifying the California sun, the gilded on-screen stars, and the spotlights that illuminated them. The star-studded front row was highlighted with faces and friends of the brand, including Marion Cotillard, Margot Robbie, and Issa Rae. Featuring lighthearted accessories such as leg warmers, wristbands, light-up disco shoes, and palm tree motifs, the collection transported viewers into an ’80s fantasy full of joyful fashion and glamour, taking the CHANEL hertiage from Paris to the Pacific Ocean.
