From plunging necklines to exquisite jewels, and fuss-free beauty looks, here are 10 stand-out outfits from the Oscars.
ALICIA VIKANDER
The now Oscar-winning actress, Alicia Vikander surprised us in an unexpected, custom gown from Louis Vuitton. The dusty-yellow fabric complemented Vikander’s complexion, and the intricate embellishments made her look like a princess.
BRIE LARSON
Brie Larson’s custom gown by Gucci was beautiful, and the perfect look to accept the award for Best Actress in. From the jewelled belt to the pleated ruffles, everything about Larson’s red carpet look was delightfully feminine.
CATE BLANCHETT
Another best dressed on any red carpet? Cate Blanchett in a sea-foam floral embellished Armani Privé gown. Her fresh bob complemented the gown, and minimal jewellery from Tiffany & Co. added some sparkle.
CHARLIZE THERON
Charlize Theron looked ultra glam in a red Dior number. The actress’ elongated necklace from Harry Winston was the perfect finishing touch, adding already bold look.
CHRISSY TEIGEN
Supermodel and soon to be mom Chrissy Teigen donned a nude-and-red Marchesa gown, fresh off the Fall ’16 runway. The model posted behind the scenes photos to her Instagram account, showing how she was literally sewn into the dress.
Another soon-to-be mom, Emily Blunt, looked pretty in a powder pink gown from Prada. Blunt mimicked the dress’ silver embellishments with a stunning pair of diamond earrings from NIWAKA Fine Jewelry , and a clutch from Judith Leiber Couture.

The Aussie actress went for a plunging gold number from Tom Ford that looked like it just came out of Dynasty’s wardrobe department. Robbie looked as statuesque as the Oscar award itself, completing her look with Forevermark diamond hoop earrings and a satin clutch by The Row.

The Bollywood bombshell and Quantico star, Priyanka Chopra, made her red carpet debut in a flawless strapless gown by Zuhair Murad. Chopra accessorized with a silver and jewels from Lorraine Schwartz.

Rooney Mara’s name has become synonymous with high fashion ever since her breakout role in Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. This year, the Oscar-nominee turned to Givenchy for a sheer Haute Couture gown with elegant embroidered detailing.
