SPF That Will Leave You Glowing and Protected

Here’s a daily reminder: sunscreen is a non-negotiable in your skincare routine. Yes, even on cloudy days and yes, even when you’re only going to be outside for, like, 15 minutes. Beyond straightforward sun protection, wearing sunscreen can help you see results for skin concerns, faster. It can help reduce hyperpigmentation, fine lines, acne, and irritated skin.

As a Black woman who also has oily skin, sunscreen shopping sometimes feels like a tedious task. I need one that doesn’t leave me looking too shiny or burn my eyes, and that won’t leave a white cast. You might be looking for the same, or something slightly different depending on your preferences. So here are some of my favourites, that work for all different types of skin types and concerns.

And remember that the best sunscreen is the one you’ll wear every single day, all year round.

Ultra Violette Supreme Hydrating Facial SPF 50 Screen, $48.50, at Sephora.

Summer Fridays ShadeDrops SPF 30 Mineral Milk Sunscreen, $48.50, at Sephora.

Shiseido Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF 50, $42.00, at Sephora.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Dew Balm SPF 45, $41 at Sephora.

La Prairie Cellular Swiss Protection Veil SPF 30, $310 at La Prairie.

And because sunscreen doesn’t stop at the face, here are a few products that will help to protect the rest of your body.

Vacation Classic Whip SPF 30, $22 at Vacation.

Fenty Beauty Hydra Vizor Mineral SPF 15 Sunscreen Hand Cream, $33 at Fenty Beauty.
