Age of Radiance
Celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta has built a career out of creating that coveted glow. Since launching his own eponymous makeup line, he’s released a roll-call of radiance-boosting products. His latest collection, Major Glow 2.0, aims to deliver a more natural, skin-enhancing glow. It features a universal all-over balm for face and body that combines jojoba and shea butter with microfine pearls, a lip mask that smooths and softens with vegan lanolin, and a face mist infused with rosehip seed oil, black tea ferment, and witch hazel extract to give skin a dewy finish.
Field of Gold
Since making its debut in 2014, the Active Botanical Serum has amassed a cult following for being a skincare workhorse. Vintner’s Daughter founder April Gargiulo applied the knowledge she learned as a third-generation winemaker in Napa Valley to the formula. Since then, its multi-tasking prowess has become the stuff that stars like Tracee Ellis Ross rave about. Tapping into 22 botanicals sourced from all over the globe, like alfalfa, evening primrose, turmeric, and bergamot, it works on tone, texture, fine lines, radiance, and hydration. Just in time for the holidays, Vintner’s Daughter is launching a limited-edition bottle that’s twice the size of the original, in collaboration with San Francisco–based jewellery designer Lauren Harwell Godfrey, founder of Harwell Godfrey. The designer brings California’s wine country to life through illustrations on the bottle, representing the vineyards, the stars and the positive energy that surround them.
Every year, Clé de Peau Beauté creates a limited- edition holiday series in collaboration with an artist. This season, Italian illustrator Daria Petrilli helps pay homage to the classic tale of Swan Lake through the brand’s most beloved products. Cult favourite La Crème takes on the colour of the magical lake, reflected in the gradation effect on the jar. The Luminizing Face Enhancer’s pearlescent pigments are made to shimmer like moonlight bathing the white feathers of a swan. Meanwhile, the Mini Lipstick Set is an ode to the dance of the little swans, both vibrant and graceful. Capturing the wonder and splendour of a timeless story, the collection has the look of an objet d’art.
Dubbed the “Rolls-Royce of skincare,” the night concentrate is one of founder Sylvie Chantecaille’s favourite products in her skincare regimen. The latest in the brand’s Gold collection, the treatment harnesses a combination of collagen-boosting peptides, an amino acid–copper complex, and botanicals like lotus japonica extract, which are supercharged to brighten, smooth, and replenish the skin. Together, they target everything from dullness and fine lines to hyperpigmentation. Bottled up in four small but potent vials, it can be used as a 28-day regimen every three months.
NARS Audacious Lipsticks are known for their bold saturated shades, but it’s the promise of weightless wear that invites repeat use. The creamy formula uses tamanu oil to nourish, white mushroom extract to even out tone, and portulaca extract to make lips appear fuller and firmer. Five of the brand’s bestselling Audacious Lipsticks are now available in limited-edition gold packaging for the holidays: a tan rose hue (Barbara) and a soft rose (Anita) for a neutral look, and red currant (Audrey), mahogany (Mona), and scarlet (Rita) hues for a pop of colour.
