The Broad, a new contemporary museum in downtown Los Angeles, will showcase Eli and Edythe Broad’s impressive art collection, including works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jeff Koons and Cindy Sherman. Designed by architecture firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro, The Broad’s unique exterior is a work of art in its own right: a porous exoskeleton composed of strategically arranged panels filters natural daylight into the museum’s 50,000 square feet of exhibition space.
