“Impostor Cities”, the new exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto, is a critique on the self-expression and masquerade of Canadian cities in the film industry. This multi-media exhibition features a screening room playing a compilation of over 3,000 films and television shows shot in Canada. It also includes a green screen and chroma-key installation to project viewers into the movies they love, as well as interviews with famous Canadian directors, architects, and industry experts.
“Impostor Cities” is on view at MOCA from June 2 to July 23, 2023.
