Uniqlo and JW Anderson have teamed up for the second time to bring a capsule collection that brims with go-to basics alongside JW Anderson’s signature ruffles and ribbons. Inspired by one of Britain’s most iconic scenes, Brighton Beach, London-based designer Jonathan Anderson curated every item with the idea of lightweight and airiness, and in a blend of cotton and linen to bring a 1950 subcultural movement. The collection design is reminiscent of beach-bound wear, incorporating stripped T-shirts and dresses, and bags and sweaters with seagull prints that whimsically celebrate Britain’s seaside life. Anderson also adds patchwork on shirts and skirts to mark some of his quintessential work. Get ready to shop: the collection begins hitting Uniqlo stores this Thursday, April 19th.
