Bold florals, grunge plaids, animal prints, diamanté jewels, jaunty fedoras—you name it. Michael Kors’ Fall 2018 collection, held yesterday at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre at Lincoln Centre in New York, was an extremely playful mash-up that radiated optimism and personal style—Kors’ valentine for celebrating individuality described the brand. The capsule collection was also the first time the all-American glamour-inspired label joined forces with an artist, showcasing graphic illustrations of women’s portraits by renowned artist David Downton.

Models, including runway vets Binx Walton, Ashley Graham, Adwoa Aboah and Bella Hadid, made their way down the runway to a lively soundtrack by fashion’s go-to sound designer, Michel Gaubert. The mix included everything from Billy Joel’s “Uptown Girl” to Jay-Z’s “Empire State Of Mind,” and the star-studded crowd—Emily Blunt, Blake Lively and Zendaya were just a few of the noteworthy faces who lined the front row—loved every minute of it.
