Alessandro Michele will be guiding Gucci into the realm of high jewellery with the launch of the Hortus Deliciarum collection, which will be sold at its new boutique on Place Vendôme in Paris. The boutique will be Gucci’s first-ever shop dedicated exclusively to fine and high jewellery.
The collection, featuring over 200 pieces, showcases Michele’s poetic vision, echoing eclectic motifs that exhibit the distinctive and modish poise of the Gucci brand. Inspired by a trio of themes that evoke a mythical garden in full bloom, the collection is uniquely set in what Michele describes as “discordant symmetry” to capture the spirituality of imperfection.
In contrast to Gucci boutiques around the world, the design of 16 Place Vendôme is gracefully muted to dramatically highlight the colourful vibrancy of the collection, which includes gemstones handpicked by Michele himself.
