Dior Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2020 Collection

Maria Grazia Chiuri presented the Dior Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2020 runway show in Paris—a collection inspired by her own personal past, described as an “autobiography, self-portrait, story.” These emotions came from her teenage diary and images that brought her back to moments where she was unsure of her future. The words “I say I”, seen at the show’s entrance, show self-assertion and the many approaches of feminine subjectivity. The word “consent” was also seen at the show, as well as other quotes that are all examples of the strong feminine approach Maria Grazia Chiuri brings to her collections as a female designer designing for women. The collection was made up of tailored pieces, mixed prints, and matching sets. The front row was star-studded with strong women including Demi Moore, Sigourney Weaver, and Bianca Jagger, to name a few.
